Review Writers

We are looking for Review Writers

UKMusicreview has been online reviewing artists since 1999 and has grown a large following of readers and visitors to the site. We pride ourselves on being one of the first music review sites on the internet and one that has consistently brought to its members and visitors some of the best breaking bands during this time. We have a large database of labels and promoters who regularly send us music to review and are invited to many gigs and festivals across the country every year.

Do you want to:
  • Review the latest singles / albums
  • Interview bands
  • Select from dozens of gigs listed every month to go and see for free!
  • Top reviewers are invited to festivals such as Glastonbury, V, and more
  • Build your portfolio on one of the most respected review sites
  • Your reviews are read by thousands of visitors
  • Join a dedicated professional team
  • Enjoy the music and fun at festivals!
If you have a strong desire to write about music and have the talent and ability to write an entertaining and in depth review then please get in touch with us.

You will be joining a highly motivated and professional team who are passionate about music and are dedicated to providing one of the most respected review sites on the internet. You should be able to write at least 1500 characters for each single/album review and be able to put time in to cover at least 3 cd reviews each month.

Although this is not paid work, you will receive cds and gig invitations from us regularly and you will always be able to keep the cds we send. There is no expenses paid for going to gigs but most gigs will be in your local area and easy to get to and of course you get into the gigs free and sometimes interview the artists.

Each year we are able to gain access to several festivals on press passes and interview the bands playing at them and we invite selected reviewers along with us for a chance to meet and chat with the bands.
Earlier this year a team of 6 from UKMusicreview camped at Glastonbury with full press passes chatted and photographed artists such as The Levellers, Cage The Elephant, A Human and also photographed, James Blunt, Jay Z and others.

To apply please email us with your CV and 2 examples of your work: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

* Your agreement not to place any of your written reviews for cds we send you on any other website or printed material. Some CD reviews need to be in before release dates, we must keep to those and would require you also to send reviews back in on time.
